Chunyi Li is an associate consultant at Exponent's Thermal Sciences Practice. Before joining Exponent, she graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she worked as a graduate research assistant under the advisement of Professor Ryan P. Lively.Chunyi's doctorate research focused on biogas upgrading by carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide adsorption using metal-organic framework (MOF) materials. Chunyi is experienced in adsorbent material synthesis and characterization. She also has extensive experience in designing and constructing adsorption testing systems involving flammable and toxic gases at a lab scale. She has obtained a graduate certificate in Data Science for the Chemical Industry from Georgia Institute of Technology, where she gained experience in foundational data science methods with a strong emphasis on applications in the chemical process industry.
