My next adventure included my previous test roles, with an addition to interviewing and on boarding candidates. During this time I also helped the company introduce a UI Test Automation solution for our controller applications. Expanding on the Android controller test automation and introducing iOS Controller test automation, I worked along with several interns to produce a solid maintained set of 120 tests for Android (phone), and 70 for iOS (35 tablet and 35 phone) in very short time.

As my entry point to software test, I was immediately responsible for test planning and test execution of new user stories for features active in development. I focused heavily on learning test process when writing my test plans and applied my product knowledge from my previous position. The net result was very solid test plans with many valuable edge case bugs found during execution.

Responsible for troubleshooting home networks and Windows/OSX systems for compatibility with the Sonos networked players. Using a combination of diagnostics and soft-skills, I rarely had to escalate my calls and they were often finished quick with root cause being identified within the first few minutes of the call. While here, I also designed a number of support tools to help ease documenting of calls, troubleshooting customer issues, and tracking quality metrics through a virtual score card system accessible by managers.
