Completed atmospheric-ocean dynamics research through the 10 week National Science Foundation funded Monterey Bay Ocean Sciences Research Experiences for Undergraduates. Throughout the week, I worked full-time at my host institution, the Naval Postgraduate School, in the Department of Meteorology. In addition to my regular work schedule, I attended weekly, full-day workshops for professional and academic development on everything from scientific research boating to research ethics. Every week, I worked on assignments related to the typical research project process such as research project proposals, oral presentations, etc. I presented the results of my research at the Naval Postgraduate School at the 2019 Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science - Diversity in STEM Conference, as well as the American Geophysical Union 2019 Fall Meeting.
