She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University with majors in International Affairs and Political Science with a minor in Spanish Language/Culture in May 2018. Ciara recently celebrated her five-year anniversary of working in the refugee resettlement field.Ciara's time in the refugee resettlement field has been marked by radical change and expanding programmatic needs. In September of 2021, as the US began welcoming individuals through the Afghan Placement & Assistance Program, Ciara was promoted to the Remote Placement Specialist role with USCCB. In the fall of 2022, Ciara was promoted again to the Reception & Placement (R&P) Field Support Coordinator position with USCCB where she continues to work with refugees and refugee service providers across the country, focusing on the American Southwestern states.In the fall of 2023, Ciara started her Masters of Arts (MA) in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies through the University of London. She expects to finish her Masters of Arts degree in spring 2026.
