I was also responsible for the agreement of the Risk Action Plan for the project and the drafting of the Closure & Evidence packs for Internal Audit. The initial project also acted as a test bed for design of effective processes and procedures for the remediation of the unauthorized software which fed into the later Pilot Project and subsequent BAU operations for Unauthorized Software remediation.

    Having completed the Test Analysis for this project as part of the ASP Domain role I was appointed as Test Manager to the IPTV Test Programme to manage the test design for the SIT Phase of this programme. The role included the identification of test conditions for Operational Acceptance Testing on the Head End and main TV Platform. I then took on the Test Execution and Defect Management for the E2E Test phase and for the Commercial Trials. This included the management of the Set Top Box (STB) Testing with responsibility for the production of Test Strategies, Test Plans, Status Reports and Test Closure reports for all test cycles during this phase and then again for the Post Launch phases 2, 3 and 4 where further enhancements and new functionality were added to the service and product.As this was a multi-vendor system I have used a number of Defect Management and Test Management tools namely HP Quality Centre, Mantis and JIRA.

I also led the rationalisation of the Support & Maintenance contracts and delivered over €1.2m in savings per annum. Initiated the capitalisation of BAU developments which resulted in almost €300,000 being moved annually from operational costs to asset value.We delivered over €2.4m of software developments p.a. in addition to Third Line Support.

    Prior to our outsourcing of IT Development and 3rd Line Maintenance to IBM, I was responsible for the establishment of a new "Demand Management" function within the IT Department. This department was responsible for working with our internal business customers and helping them to scope the requirements of major projects to deliver major new initiatives, products and services, document those requirements and develop the Use cases for them. It also included the management of the gating system and prioritisation processes up to the end of the Feasibility Phase of the projects within a given release. The effort also included the setting up or modification of processes, procedures, templates as well as the organisation structure and recruitment of some new skill sets into the team. In addition to setting up the new department and a working relationship with our new internal IT Delivery Team, it also involved a major effort working with the new vendor to develop and agree the "To Be" ADM Demand Management processes, procedures and templates to be used post contract commencement. I managed a Team of 14 analysts and architects to deliver this service for the first 8 months of operation before taking on the new role to set up and manage the AM & Support & Maintenance Team and function.
