Venue Angel is a Venue and Event Hospitality Management company in which I worked part time in the months aforementioned. For this company I did various tasks such as bar work, catering and anything that was required to set up the venue for an event. I dealt with customers and the general public on a daily basis assisting them or dealing with any queries they may have had. This company has a huge number of employees meaning you were working as part of a team at all times. This enabled me to show how well I work with others while also being able to work independently when dealing with customers alone.

The O2 Arena / Board Gais Energy Theatre

I worked for Professional Placement Group (PPG) recruitment agency who hired their staff out to the o2 arena which has now been renamed the 3 Arena. I worked in bars for most events. In doing so meant I was always engaging with customers and the general public in any way possible. I dealt with any queries they may have had as well as helping them to their seats. I was the only person in the O2 arena to ever receive perfect grades from the manager for my precision and fast paced work ethic.

I worked as a barman in the United Arts Club where I had to open and close the bar for ordinary nights as well as nights where events were held. I also worked from August 2008 to October 2010 as a lounge boy in the United Arts Club.

Independent Express is a Dublin-based provider of freight, transport and logistics services. I did an internship there where I was part of the customer care team. My tasks were to answer phones, input information to the system and general office duties. Nearing the end of the internship I was given the opportunity to work in Accounts for a week. I also worked for a week as transport director which meant I was in charge of all the drivers. I had to ensure all the deliveries and drop-offs for the company were made. All these extra jobs showed how valued I had become within the company. Similarly to my job at Venue Angel and the O2 Arena, this job allowed me to show off my customer service skills as well as my ability to succeed in a team.
