Since joining PM Group I have actively supported a range of projects involving:-Development of construction safety plans -Review of internal health and safety procedures-Client EHS standards development-Contractor’s project safety documentation evaluation-Auditing, maintaining and further development of OHSAS 18001 management system-Expansion of OHSAS 18001 management system to UK and Poland-Preparation of reports including compilation and reporting of safety performance data-Development of safety promotion/incentive programs-Site induction, permit to work, fire/evacuation procedure, risk assessment, method statements, site access control, security and regulatory compliance including maintenance of all necessary documentation, registers and certification-Development of behavioural bases safety programme-PSDP Coordinator for various projects-Development and delivery of training requirements-Delivery and coordination of safety leadership team meetings, site supervision and auditing-NISO Award SubmissionsI work closely within a small department to further enhance safety aspects of PM Group safety.

PM Group are a managed service provider for MSD in Carlow. I performed the role of Site Safety Manager for a number of small to medium sized projects ranging from car park extensions, site security upgrades, uniterupted power supply installation and upgrades, canteen enabling works, borehole works and general overall site maintenance surrounding these many projects.

I worked on two projects with PM Group within the MedImmune facility in Speke Liverpool.MedImmune – UK MS&T Laboratory (Liverpool)Design and upgrade to existing temporary modular building to a pharmaceutical facility with the inclusion of research and development labs, clean rooms and upgrades to existing facilities.MedImmune – Shutdown 2012 (Liverpool)Clean room facility re-fit within the MedImmune manufacturing plant. This included demolition of the existing layout, removal of redundant equipment and installation of a new high specification clean room. Here I worked as a Site Safety Manager with PM Group on UK based projects as a team member of the Construction Management Team liaising regularly with both Client and Contractors, implementing construction phase plans, minimum performance documents, site set-up, site inspections, delivery of inductions/safety training, reviewing method statements & risk assessments, chairing weekly client/contractor safety meetings, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of site management system.

Development of standards, safety control documentation, prequalification and leading and lagging indicators for Clients including PepsiCo International, Microsoft, Nexen and Genzyme. Review and generation of internal health and safety documentation including policies, capability statements and safety statements.Development of project statistical data and trends including production of Safety Alerts and notifications.
