• As a SISTERS Mentor my duties include:
• Preparation of "SISTERS Science Adventures," which are activities created for 5th and 6th grade female students of various Encinitas elementary schools to be done in an after school program
• Promote and maintain interest in STEM fields during educational activities that have a science, technology and engineering focus
• Run and execute a program two times a week on site in Encinitas with co-mentors

• My duties currently include:
• Aid the maintenance of a funded research project on the effects of ocean acidification on crustaceans
• Collect data on pH levels of various controlled tank groups
• Research and compile literature and information on the subjects being researchedMy duties will include over the next few months:
• Interpreting data and making inferences of results
• Measuring different affects of ocean acidification on the subjects
