About Cindy Danforth

Law is a second career for me. I worked in the broadcast advertising industry in Chicago, Portland and San Francisco between 1980 and 1994. I received my JD in 1997 from the University of Oregon School of Law. After graduation from law school, I began my legal career working as an Honors Attorney for the Oregon Department of Justice. I worked for the Oregon DOJ as an Assistant Attorney General from 1997 to 2003 (in the Appellate and Trial Divisions). I served on the DOJ Ethics Committee chaired by Attorney General Hardy Myers. I opened my private law practice in Eugene in 2003, focusing on employment, civil rights, and public records litigation. I represented clients in state and federal court litigation. I previously served on the Oregon State Bar Association's Civil Rights Committee and on the State Lawyers Assistance Committee (SLAC). I am the Secretary of the Oregon State Bar Quality of Life Committee. I currently conduct employment-related investigations for employers, including the Oregon Department of Justice. In 2010, I created a small online business, Child Pose Yoga Mat Company, LLC, which sold eco-friendly yoga mats designed for kids aged 1-8. I am actively involved in the recovery community. I live in Eugene with my husband, daughter and assorted 4-legged furry friends.

    I consult with public and private employers in conducting workplace investigations. From 1997-2003, I worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oregon's Department of Justice. I opened my law firm in 2003.
