Responsibilities: Create contacts and pitches to international, national, state, regional, and local news outlets on stories about University success including five colleges and two research institutions. Edit spoken and written messages including print, video and web to fit Associated Press style. Reflect style that will serve the mission, image strategy, and strategic marketing plan of the university. Write press releases and media alerts for the five colleges of the university, act as a contact person for media inquiries, write stories for the university website, write university marketing and recruiting materials, copy edit work of interns, create bi-weekly community calendar newsletter, coordinate media events, write speeches for the university president, plan and execute media campaigns.

Responsibilities: Manage newsroom communications and personnel, make daily assignments toreporters, photographers, and editors and help reporters develop stories and write scripts. I also, on a daily basis, updated website and Facebook pages, assisted producers in filling daily newscasts with good, well written, and local content. I was hired as a newscast producer, but promoted to newsroom manager after 11 months on the job.

Responsibilities: Deliver and contribute accurate and visual news content across all media platforms. Evaluate daily stories and organize them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast or digital content for the web. Oversee writing, production, and timing of each broadcast. Manage news room, contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations. Write, produce and edit material that appeals to target audiences. Research production topics using the internet, video archives, and other information sources.

Responsibilities: Produce daily newscast including writing news scripts, finding video sources, coordinating instructions for anchors, director, and production crew.I also worked in the accounting department doing billing, collections and contracts (4 years)and in the production department as an Audio Operator (1 year), CG Operator (1 year), and Camera Operator (1 year).
