Develop and coordinate educational opportunities for philanthropic organizations and individuals focusing on effective practices and programs in mental health. Engage in grant writing activities as well as develop agency-wide progress reports for large philanthropic gifts.

Analyzed over 1,000 grant proposals from Texas-based nonprofit and public sector organizations seeking funding for projects in the areas of behavioral health, criminal justice, child welfare, domestic violence, and other health and human services programs. Mentored nonprofit and public sector grant seekers on project development and evaluation. Presented proposal summaries to the 15-member board of directors for funding approval. Reviewed and reported results of the projects funded. Developed the 2011 mental health strategic plan to guide the Foundation's mental health grantmaking for the next decade.

Directed the planning, administration and evaluation of prenatal, early childhood intervention, child development and family services for 2,000 young children and parents. Supervised 6 senior managers in two program locations. Coordinated policies and procedures with a 22-member board of directors. Wrote and coordinated all grant proposal and fundraising activities.

Directed the planning and administration of curative and preventive health services for 4,000 uninsured children and adults annually.
