NAVAIR International Programs

For the Naval Aviation Systems Command’s (NAVAIR) International Programs Department (AIR-1.4), Receive incoming Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case tasking daily from the Navy International Program Office (Navy IPO) via the NAVAIR Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS) inbox. Monitor receipt of tasking by appropriate Program Offices. Forward incoming tasking emails to NAVAIR Security. Forward tasking to Budget Financial Managers and Contractors upon request. Created and update Case Tracking reports with tasking process timeline and status information, i.e. NAVAIR DCE Tracking Report. Responsible for tracking/updating the NAVAIR IP Portfolio on a weekly basis. Update new Anticipated Offer Date (AOD) tracking report. Conduct quarterly data calls to update the NAVAIR International Team Listing. Respond to calls from Navy IPO regarding which Program Offices individual FMS Cases should be assigned to. Create, print and fax Management Information System for International Logistics (MISIL) and Defense Integrated Financial Systems (DIFS) reports for offsite Program Office personnel and AIR-1.4 to expedite case development and to facilitate update of the Case Execution Performance Tool (CEPT). Create Info Warehouse reports weekly to update the FACTS database. Create and email monthly Info Warehouse Active Cases reports to update the Business Ops Tool. Respond to Program Office DSAMS queries. Follow up with Program Offices for status on pending cases. Track, update, and investigate content of the NAVAIR Cases in Process Report on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. Download and prepare CEPT tracking reports for FMS BFM Manager. Create DSAMS Error report for the purpose of providing insight into what training is needed for the FMS Community. Contribute to development of management level briefings.

Critiqued incoming time-sensitive Letters of Request (LORs). Performed database analysis on pending FMS cases. Queried MISIL for necessary info requested to process FMS cases. Assessed cases for work history and expeditious completion. Identified and resolved bottlenecks and developed viable solutions. Monitored case statistics and reported on progress. Analyzed DSAMS database to determine requirements for reports for use by the International Programs Senior Leadership and his management. Provided assistance to every level of management within AIR 1.4 from interpreting DSAMS, MISIL, DIFS information correctly to printing reports and answering questions from others within NAVAIR to correlate collection of weekly/monthly case status reports. Worked effectively to resolve program issues with various government and contractor personnel. Prepared and provided Variance reports to Program Offices on a quarterly basis. Fostered two-way communications with co-workers, client, and other organizations to get the job done efficiently and effectively. Developed and maintained complex spreadsheets utilizing MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Worked hand in hand with Navy IPO to establish the NAVAIR Help Desk and train its personnel on how to use DSAMS. Prepare graphic representations depicting contract labor and spend planning and execution. Prepared and submitted a variety of periodic reports accurately and on schedule. Provide complete administrative support.

For the Hornet Program Office, identified ensured quality of and logged F-18 A/B/C/D parts and materials. Defined quality criteria for the project. Identified appropriate set of assurance activities to achieve that criteria. Carried out assurance of the quality of both the process and the product. Ensured defined activities in each process were performed as planned and the evaluation of product quality was carried out within parameters as defined. Corrected deficiencies identified in either process or product. Reported results of assurance actions to the appropriate authority- project manager, client or assessor. Research tools included: Illustrated Publications (IPB), Joint Aviation Technical Data Integration (JATDI), Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS), and HAYSTACK.
