In the past four years I've moved this great organization from a small grass roots agency to one of the most effective social service agencies in the area. Client base has grown 500%, funding has grown 450% and has remained stable for the past three years. We were recognized as "Pet charity of the year" by local media and garnered recognition for our work from Mayor Charlie Hales and Congressman Earl Blumenauer. We were honored by the Henry Schein Cares Foundation with the Medal of Excellence, taking first place in a national competitive grant for providing access to medical care to the under-served.
