Served as the Arts Editor for Lane Community College's student-run newspaper. Wrote 2-4 articles weekly, as well as copy-editing all of the articles for the paper. I was in charge of planning and coordinating the content, photography and design of my section.

For five years I volunteered at West Eugene Teen Court, an alternative to juvenile court for first time youth offenders. I provided assistance and support to the offenders and their family through their entire court process. My service at Teen Court led me to receive the 2008 United Way Youth Volunteer of the Year.
