With over 20 years of experience in environmental management, I am a Permitting Specialist at a leading coal mining company in South Africa. My mission is to ensure that our projects comply with the legal and regulatory requirements, and that we minimize the environmental and social impacts of our operations.As a Permitting Specialist, I identify permits, legal requirements, permit acquisition processes, and risk factors for each project. I also write permit procedures, conduct audits, and liaise with the relevant authorities and stakeholders. Additionally, I contribute to the development and implementation of environmental management systems, rehabilitation and water management plans, and environmental impact assessments.
