As an Informatics Research Analyst, I research medical and health care policy issues and write and contribute to technical reports on a variety of projects, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid’s (CMS’s) public reporting programs and its Hospital eMeasures contract. My areas of interest are eMeasure development and reporting, and health care website user testing and development.

Research and analysis of biotech issues.

Worked both as lead counsel and as a team member in the preparation and trial of a variety of cases, including product liability, medical malpractice, toxic tort and commercial tort cases. Planned and supervised comprehensive research strategies, and worked with third party subject matter experts and focus groups to build an understanding of such things as industry best practices and public perceptions. Ensured timely delivery of accurate and detailed written products in compliance with both internal time tables and court deadlines, coordinating the necessary contributions from multiple sources. Worked closely with health care community to evaluate clients’ past treatment and future needs and insurance issues, including providing for funding necessary to protect clients’ life care needs. Familiar with state agencies and programs including AHCCCS, ALTCS, DDD and the operation and regulation of nursing homes, hospitals and other health care providers. Drafted and enforced contracts and settlement and trust agreements. Represented clients before judges and juries and in settlement negotiations.
