Hello I am a Guided Pathways Regional Coordinator at the Foundation for California Community Colleges. I come from the small town of Westwood, California. I graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. In addition, I attended graduate school at University of Denver, where I graduated with a Master of Arts in Higher Education, emphasis in Leadership and Organizational Change. My research agenda investigated the social/political context of educational opportunities for undocumented students which led to my thesis “The California Dream Act: The Intersection between Education, Labor, and Immigration”. In addition, I had the opportunity to co-author “Neoliberal futures and postsecondary opportunity: Janet Napolitano and the politics of Latina/o College Choice” published in Higher Education Access and Choice for Latino Students, Critical Findings and Theoretical Perspectives.
