About Cindy Friday Beeman

I freelance part-time using skills developed over my careers in newspaper editing, public relations and teaching. I am open to more freelance work!I copy edit curriculum, booklets, annual reports, maps and books, and I am a quick study in learning about new fields for editing purposes. I keep up with teaching by tutoring elementary students in math, reading and writing and by substitute teaching in preschool through fourth grade. I taught for 15 years in urban, suburban and rural settings, most recently, at Robbins Elementary, north of Woodland, during the challenges of COVID. I taught fourth grade in suburban Fresno at Starr Elementary, an autism-inclusion school. There I led electives in keyboarding, blogging, gardening and Science Olympiad, coaching winning students for five years! I'm proud of my service as a teacher, and miss it in many ways.
