Since 2004, Cindy has been consulting independently with Phoenix Community Development Services (formerly South Side Office of Concern), helping to secure housing for the homeless. Phoenix Community Development Services is a not-for-profit social service agency providing supportive housing, community support, and community development services to over 700 individuals annually in Peoria, Illinois and the surrounding areas.

Provides training and consultation on de-escalating workplace crises to corporations and businesses in Central Illinois through contract UnityPoint Human Service Center has with R3 Continuum. R3 Continuum (formerly three separate companies: Behavioral Medical Intervention, Crisis Management International, and Crisis Care Network) is a national company that provides custom behavioral health solutions for the workplace.

Vice President of Clinical Services (2013 – 2020); Manager, Clinical Services (1984 – 2013); Case Manager / Recovery Specialist (1982 – 1984)- Oversaw all mental health and substance abuse programming in the Peoria, Illinois area including, but not limited to outpatient services, residential services, supported housing, supported employment and mental health court advocacy- Provided leadership over the community’s Crisis Center and Detox Services, which includes the Emergency Response Services (ERS) unit, the mental health team that responds to all mental health crises in the Peoria, Illinois area- Led organization through process evaluations, policy changes and accreditation reviewsDeveloped and delivered behavioral health training on behalf of UnityPoint Health on topics including crisis intervention, suicide assessment, behavioral health treatment and workplace violence for numerous organizations including the Peoria, IL Police Department, Peoria, IL County Sheriff’s Department, the Marine Corps., Sharon Health Care, United Way, and the Peoria, IL Juvenile Detention Center- Spoke on behalf of UnityPoint Health as a behavioral health subject matter expert at various conferences and meetings
