I hold my Associate of Arts degree in Interpreter for the deaf. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, I taught beginning and intermediate Sign Language classes including Sign Song. As a Sign Language Interpreter in both academic and business settings, I interpreted at the High School, College and University levels. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with my option in Accounting Theory and Practice from California State University, Northridge. I received my Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Phoenix while working 60-80 hours per week as the Controller for West Coast Operations of Hilton Grand Vacations. As such, I thoroughly understand the sacrifice and commitment level required to undertake any endeavor I am completely devoted to.My career has taken me from a Staff Accountant to Chief Financial Officer. I am the elected Mohave County Treasurer. Additionally, I teach Accounting and Finance for the University of Phoenix.My professional goals include utilizing my experience and strengths to their fullest potential while enjoying what I'm doing. My plan for that was to include holding political office which I have succeeded in doing in the 2012 election. Although the term is 4 years, I plan to stay until I retire.I have many passions in life, but here are my top three: First, I love to interact with people. Second, I love to spend time with my nuclear and very large extended family.
