Mrs. Sutton has ten years experience in government contracting encompassing seven years in government contract industry as a Senior Accountant/Controller and three years in public accounting as a Senior Consultant.Mrs. Sutton’s area of expertise is in, but not limited to, cost accounting, indirect rate structure analysis & development, DCAA audit and compliance, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), contract close-out, budgeting & forecasting, policies & procedures preparation and financial analysis. Mrs. Suttons has extensive experience in government contract accounting software implementation such as Deltek GCS Premier®, Deltek Time & Expense® and QuickBooks®. She provides training and support on all aspects of Deltek GCS Premier® and Deltek Time & Expense®.

Responsible for government contract accounting software (eFAACT and GCS-Deltek) implementations. Ensure internal controls, policies and procedures, accounting systems comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) requirements. Serve as an advisor on GCS and eFAACT for client training. Create solutions for clients who have system and processing problems. Prepare and analyze Indirect Rate calculations. Develop and assist operating budgets and forecasts for clients. Reconcile accounts to ensure compliance with FAR Part 31 – Cost of Principles. Develop and implement accounting solutions by analyzing clients’ current procedures and recommending changes for GAAP and government compliance. Prepare and analyze financial statements and account reconciliations for multiple clients. Perform post award accounting system audits in accordance with DCAA. Prepare and review incurred cost submissions.

Performed post award accounting system audits, created policies & procedures and budgets for clients. Performed Deltek GCS Premier implementations. Served as an Instructor for client GCS Premier training classes and routinely assist clients with system and processing problems. Implemented eFAACT accounting software for QuickBooks clients. Responsible for multiple client financial reporting systems using QuickBooks and Deltek GCS Premier. Prepared payroll, payroll taxes, billing, accounts payable, income statements, balance sheets, and indirect rates for each client.

Responsibilities included production of monthly financial statements and day-to-day accounting operations including indirect rates, forecasts, budgets and financial analysis. Served as a supervisor of payroll and accounts payable. Assisted the Controller with Financial Auditors, DCAA Rates and Incurred Cost Submissions. Gained an in-depth knowledge of GCS Premier Modules for time collection, payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, contracts, billing and fixed assets.
