Provide fund raising and marketing counsel to nonprofit organizations.

Raised $25 million to help end veteran homelessness, with $13.3 million from private sources and major public awards from the U.S. Departments of Veterans Affairs, Labor, and Health and Human Services. Increased number of private donors by 375 percent. Guided creation of new website and phased in consistent graphic design. Hosted new chapter of Toastmasters International so that homeless veterans could strengthen their speaking skills as advocates in community meetings, at City Hall, and other forums. Was primary media relations liaison. Served as panelist on involving private philanthropy in ending veteran homelessness at annual conference of National Coalition of Homeless Veterans.

Increased baseline annual giving five-fold from $60,000 to $300,000. Cultivated and solicited major gifts, and installed DonorPerfect database to improve contributor communications. Led the School's graphic identity update (website, newsletters, brochures) in conformance with USC guidelines. Served as primary writer of the School's strategic plan.

Led this Pasadena City College-based NPR news station during period of transition to new management. Retired deficit in 12 months and began transition to digital broadcasting first year. Now operated by Southern California Public Radio, FM 89.3 has the largest noncommercial radio audience in the Los Angeles market.

Provided fund raising counsel to clients including Pasadena City College Foundation, National Public Radio, and Inglewood Neighborhood Housing Services. Conducted campaign readiness assessments and development program audits for clients in the western U.S., British Columbia and Alberta.

Built the station's listening audience through successful fund raising campaign to pay for new transmitter. Expanded contributor benefits associated with extensive jazz and blues concerts and festivals produced by the radio station. Secured corporate underwriting for a statewide half-hour weekday news program.

Established the University's development program. Launched capital campaign for the Donald P. and Katherine B. Loker University Student Union; won a Bronze Medal in Special Constituency Fund Raising from CASE (the Council for Advancement and Support of Education).

The UVM Fund encompasses individual and corporate annual giving in support of the University of Vermont, including the Catamount Club (athletics) and giving for the Robert Hull Fleming Museum, the Vermont Morgan Horse Farm and the UVM College of Medicine.
