Provide leadership and expertise to all County departments to acquire products and services at a competitive price, in compliance to County purchasing policies, and how to process purchase requests in GEMS financial software. Supervisor to the print shop and purchasing employees.

Implemented optimal inventory levels for warehouse stock, reducing overstock and out of stock situations. This resulted in an increase of completed order shipments to 98% from 79% without additional capital investment. Responsible for forecasting future coffee production and defining commodity market price forecasts and hedging strategies to manage price risk, placed green coffee contracts to cover the forecast. Managed coffee contracts throughout the year and released coffee shipments to meet production schedule. Sourced and negotiated vendor contracts to obtain lowest pricing and preferred terms, for a variety of housewares, private label product and services. Supervised purchasing and inventory control departments. Established corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
