Real Estate Assets:Duties include the management of the natural resources at both Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport and Brown Field Municipal Airport with a focus on maintaining a safe, operational airfield. These resources include several sensitive plant and wildlife species such as burrowing owl, San Diego fairy shrimp, coastal California gnatcatcher, San Diego Button-celery, and San Diego Mesa Mint.Park and Recreation Department:Duties include the environmental assessment and implementation of the City of San Diego’s Brush Management Program within the Open Space Division. Specifically focused on resource management, sensitive resource survey and identification, vegetation mapping, scheduling of labor crews, overseeing labor crew activity, delivery of specific biological trainings to the crews and various City Departments, scheduling of biological surveys, public discussion and response, and supervision of interns.

Duties include conducting biological resource inventories, sensitive species surveys, general habitat assessments, construction and biological monitoring, revegetation monitoring, success analysis for wetland mitigation, small mammal trapping and pitfall trapping, assistance with wetland delineations, and post-fire BMP planning.
