Chris currently has full managerial and technical responsibility for the provision of weather products, weather forecasts, and weather services that enable situational awareness and address impacts to operations.Chris was the Sales & Marketing Director for an engineering firm with global sales responsibility. He traveled internationally to assess 40 international distributors and was responsible for relationship management, overall customer service, product usage and $4M in annual revenue generation. During his tenure, Chris authored the company pricing model and established sales metric targets and yield strategies to increase revenue. Additionally, he was the trade show and digital marketing lead adept at brand promotion through numerous channels, SEO, website analytics, and effective digital and print advertising.Prior to working in sales, Chris served 24 years in the US Navy focusing on operational and technical management as a Naval Oceanography officer with expertise in program management, operations, environmental risk assessment, customer service, communications, and leadership.Chris grew up in Switzerland, Austria, and Denmark and received language training in each host country. He returned to the US for High School and subsequently graduated with a BS from Cornell University in 1990, MS from the Naval Postgraduate School 1997, and MBA Georgetown in 2009. Chris had three ship tours of increasing responsibility and complexity, scheduling replenishment at sea and mitigating risk for 20 ships and over 160 aircraft from environment effects. Ashore, Chris managed an 80-person team of forecasters with ship safety responsibility for the Pacific and Indian oceans that operated for over 3 years without safety incidents.
