As the Director of Creative Services for CNBC Primetime, I was tasked with breathing new life into the on-air and digital promotional executions.Highlights include:* Catalyst behind Make It Black, a CNBC vertical spotlighting Black entrepreneurs and business leaders offering tools, resources and inspiration to achieve success.* Initiating the first ever Black History Month campaign in the history of CNBC. * Introducing new POC talent to the department including vendors, editors, composers, directors, writer/producers and voice-over artists.* Producing ground-breaking Black History Month campaign featuring Susan Kelechi Watson from This is Us and archival footage from the NMAAHC.* Creating the first ever Juneteenth campaign which included a promotional marathon of prime time shows featuring Black entrepreneurs. * Creating the first ever “Shop the Show” Shark Tank initiative for Black History Month featuring Black-owned businesses laying the blueprint for all the other heritage months.* Overseeing the featurette for Joe Desena’s No Retreat which aired as an original program yielding higher numbers than the premiere episode of the series.* Overseeing promotion for critically-acclaimed series Empires of New York which featured the music of Grand Master Flash.

MODULAR MOVIE TRAILERS is a full services creative agency specializing in making top-notch movie trailers and producing killer creative campaigns. We make pitch videos for crowd funding, develop promotional campaigns for both on-air and on-line, produce live action shoots and behind-the-scenes pieces, provide creative direction; we do it all. We conceptualize it, cut it, add original music, voice over and graphics to deliver a professionally polished end product. “We put all the pieces together for you.”

Acted as Creative Lead for launch campaigns and new business pitches. Created decks and spec spots for potential new clients. Creative Directed a team of writer/producers in the development and execution of concept-based campaigns. Wrote and produced promos including longform content, delivering high-quality creative on or ahead of schedule and consistently below budget. Spearheaded the marketing and promotion of series, movies, tent poles and specials across all platforms in the fast-paced, multi-faceted Creative Services department. Lead and inspired a team of writer/producers, designers and editors in the implementation of creative concepts across multiple platforms.Major campaigns included: BEING MARY JANE, BLACK GIRLS ROCK, THE GAME and SCANDAL, among others.Major accomplishments include:Launching the BET Original Movie BEING MARY JANE whose ratings nearly doubled expectations.Overseeing BLACK GIRLS ROCK whose ratings were up 25% from the previous year. And creating a downloadable ring tone for the first time in the history of the show.Conceptualizing the launch campaign for THE GAME which led to record-breaking ratings.Breaking Canadian artist SERENA RYDER by featuring her Stompa track on the promos for The Game which lead to the song being featured on a number of shows including GREY’S ANATOMY, DALLAS and a CADILLAC commercial.The unprecedented launching of SCANDAL on BET.Directing the launch campaign for T.D. JAKES PRESENTS MIND, BODY AND SOUL.Directing the launch campaign for DON’T SLEEP HOSTED BY T.J. HOLMES which won a 2013 PROMAX AWARD.

Executed high-profile on-air promo campaigns from conception to completion including writing, producing, editing, managing budgets, graphics, voiceover talent and original music. Directed award-winning DEF POETRY campaigns.
