I enjoy working with data. My prior engagements have allowed me to become adept at reviewing and working with business data to support operational decisions. I am a highly competent Excel user and have experience using Excel to create dashboards and other tools that support colleagues with quality and productivity. I also have experience using Microsoft Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, Visio, SQL and Python. To compliment this, I have recently completed my Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.Having just taken a career break, I am now looking for my next professional challenge as an Analyst. Prior to this break, I worked for several years as a contractor in financial services and utilities. I have had the privilege of leading many teams and enjoy working with individual agents and team managers to develop their skills and ensure they are performing to the best of their ability, ideally exceeding the expectations of the client/project. On my last few projects, I took analytical roles, that have allowed me to concentrate on process improvement and take a more formal role in the change management process. To compliment this, I completed a Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.Outside of work I am a keen traveller and can claim to have visited over 60 countries, most of them with just my backpack for company. This has given me some truly unique and memorable experiences. I have met amazing people and seen the most beautiful landscapes. I have had the privilege to volunteer on farms working with animals, teach refugee children, drive tractors, climb mountains and so much more! In addition to being highly rewarding, most of these experiences were also highly challenging. Consequently, they have been invaluable in developing some of my key skills including communication, resilience and problem solving.
