hired to help with their strongsville police station remodeling and jail addition include existing building survey, client contact, work scope definition, programming, preliminary design, design development, construction documents and specifications. * worked on many additional projects in their commercial/retail division including mall developer work, takeover and renovations, Joann's, Petsmarts, and Progressive but mostly with their Kohl's prototype program which was frontend loaded early on in the development process with city/project due diligence, code research, civil coordination, design and document management and production up thru construction administration* the Kohl's prototype program is based on sustainable design and they focus highly on the pursuit of LEED based project certification for all their prototype stores as well as some takeover/specialty stores of which I have helped acquire information on the scorecard credits and working with engineers during their modeling process, although I am not a LEED accredited invididual.* autocad 2011 and some work in revit 11 software/bim modeling. * experience with microsoft office (excel, word & outlook)* newforma project management software* well versed in all internet/search sites/and architectural information available on the web.; registrations * currently registered in ohio, license # 12329* former AIA member in good standing* pursuing LEED AP accreditation

Worked on numerous Retail projects in the firm and eventually worked my way up to starting the first Dick's Sporting Goods store and eventually running the account. This involved the control of the prototype documents for DSG along with review of all other outside architectural documents for developer deals. HA was one of only a couple firms that were allowed to work for them and was contracted to do all their interiors.project architect/management experience - herschman focused on the retail industry along with other commercial, industrial, and residential clients.* ran the dick's sporting goods big-box retail program (50,000+ s.f. with 50+ stores being opened per year) and responsible for prototype management, project reviews of all outside architect of record projects, and review/production of interoffice projects. Also involved with specification review/production and coordination of documents.* experience in on-site due diligence for renovation work, site visits during construction, construction administration and punchlist services.* versed in proposal preparation and following up on change of services during the project. * had up to 5 employees working with me as part of this program which had produced up to 10+ stores per year in our office and reviews of an additional 40+ per year from developer architect reviews.* have worked on multiple retail tenant documents over the years, also including mall renovation and private residence design documents and in every aspect of the project from start to completion.

originally hired as a pencil and paper draftsman and self taught autocad once the office began their involvement in computer aided design* worked on many projects ranging from college educational buildings at lorain county community college, to office buildings & renovations, industrial buildings & additions, low income housing, private residential and interior remodelings.
