Maintenance Coordinator
In my current position I coordinate maintenance on a fleet of 50 trucks, and 50 trailers. I schedule preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of different types of equipment, to keep the fleet in compliance with FMCSA and DOT requirements. I utilize a variety of different maintenance vendors, ensuring work orders, purchase orders, and invoices are completely and correctly handled to ensure proper communication between the mechanics performing repairs, and the invoicing and accounts payable departments making sure that the vendors are compensated promptly. I use various computer programs including AS400, Excel and Outlook, and several methods of communication on a daily basis to accomplish these tasks.
Warehouse Section Coordinator
-Arrange for carrier vehicle pickup. -Post weight and shipment charges. -Maintain files of shipping records. -Authenticate receipt of shipments alongside bills of lading, invoices or other records. -Organize records of goods shipped. -Coordinate movement of product from the storage areas in the warehouse for shipping. -Monitor and assist loading and unloading of product. -Manage documentation associated with shipping processes. -Manage product inventory and adjust any entries that may need to be regulated. -Document all actions by handling logs and records and managing information on forms. -Conduct physical inventories to determine losses and identify stocks for shipment. -Direct the work of warehouse personnel and oversee all associated activities. -Assume warehouse operations responsibility in the absence of the manager. -Investigate and report warehouse operational discrepancies. -Retrieve incoming freight on shipping docks. -Oversee safe operation of forklifts and other equipment. -Order supplies to facilitate storage area functions. -Use of a computer and barcode scanner based inventory system.
