I began playing sports at a young age and have remained actively involved ever since. I have participated in numerous tournaments as a member of Yuwa's team, an organization dedicated to empowering women through sports and education in rural Jharkhand.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I served as the captain for nine football coaches at Yuwa India. My role was to ensure that our football teams remained connected and united during these challenging times. I led weekly meetings to plan and coordinate activities, ensuring the smooth running of our programs and maintaining a strong sense of community and teamwork.

In rural Indian villages, where extracurricular activities are often overlooked, I successfully serve as a workshop facilitator and football coach for young girls, specifically under-12 and under-14 teams, at Yuwa India. My role included planning and executing football practices and facilitating weekly workshops on life skills topics such as education, saving, safety, hygiene, and menstruation. The excellent participation and attendance in these sessions underscore the impact and importance of these activities.

Reflecting on My Journey with Teach For IndiaThis summer, during July and August, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Teach For India, where I taught underprivileged students in Delhi. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, as I guided bright young minds through Math and English lessons, witnessing their eagerness to learn and grow every day. The journey wasn't without its challenges—traveling around 120 km daily was tough. But every mile was worth it when I saw the spark of understanding light up in my students' eyes. In a country where 40% of students from underprivileged households have faced significant disruptions in their education, providing these children with opportunities to thrive is crucial.I truly believe that these students are the future leaders of our world. They deserve every chance to succeed and should never feel left behind due to circumstances beyond their control.
