Responsibilities include advising on software, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, and data licensing, inbound and outbound open source analysis, licensing strategy, and other strategic matters. Draft and negotiate a variety of technology licensing agreements, such as inbound commercial technology agreements, development and integration agreements, API agreements, inbound evaluation agreements, co-development agreements, confidentiality disclosure agreements, inbound data agreements, services agreements, outbound beta trial agreements, customer participation agreements, interoperability agreements, demo agreements, and collaboration research agreements with universities. Other projects include drafting/maintaining Oracle standard agreement forms and providing legal support on royalty matters, including audits and related disputes.

Note: Oracle acquired Sun Microsystems, Inc. in January 2010, at which point I immediately joined Oracle. I worked full-time at Sun while in law school.
