RETAIL STORE MANAGER2005 – 2008 Started as trainee Assistant Store Manager, completed the in house training program and was signed off as a fully fledged assistant store manager a month early than my peers. Alongside the store manager was responsible for the daily running of a busy 24/7 forecourt and convenience store. In this role I was also responsible for all office administration duties and staff development and training. Daily duties included all reconciliations from previous day takings and petrol sales. Ordering stock for the store and then the ‘Wild Bean Café’. Ensuring compliance tasks were understood by the staff and actioned on time. Ensured that Audit compliance was followed and corrected issues as they arose. Offered great customer service and worked front of house when needed. Updated staff on new procedures within the business to enable them to complete their job roles to the best of their ability. 2008 – 2010 Promoted to Retail Store Manager. New responsibilities were dealing with all staff issues from basic HR matters to making sure the store did not go over allocated hours. Ensured that the store followed merchandising standards, set by plan-o-grams and store standards from head office. Responsible for stock control and all stock take results. Taking pro-active action to reduce any losses and follow a set action plan if I was outside company tolerance. Attend management meetings and relay necessary information back to my team by holding staff meetings in store.
