I work in the Vogel Lab within the BioMET Department of the School of Medicine at UMB. Here, we study the disease Macular Degeneration using the organism C. elegans. I am responsible for all molecular biology experiments for the lab, which includes creating transgenic C. elegans worm lines using both CRISPR/Cas9 techniques and through constructing plasmids.
