As a qualified Mechanical Engineer (BEng (Hons)) with experience in maintenance engineering, operations and working to high health and safety standards, KPIs, and daily operational constraints. Currently, I work with the engineers and production to plan is service, maintenance, and breakdowns of production equipment within tight time constraints whilst liaising with all levels of management and production operatives. In addition, I am also implementing a permit system as one previously did not exist ensuring the safety of staff and contractors and updating the inventory stock system to ensure our inventory is correct and the monetary value is correct. During my time as an engineer, I implemented and managed an equipment inventory system to reduce engineer’s downtime and track equipment and developed new internal procedures to be used across the organization that previously did not exist. I also implemented a lube oil and grease contract changeover; overseeing the tender and contract, managing the rationalization process for the lube oils and greases reducing from 100+ oils and greases to 40. This led to a cost saving of £45k. As a sortation associate, I solely managed the launchpad and ensured drivers collected their daily routes with minimal issues and no missing packages. I owned area readiness guaranteeing no packages were left behind in the warehouse and that the site was in the correct condition for the next operation. Additionally, conducting daily meetings with the onsite managers to ensure there are no issues with driver dispatch and ensure a smooth handover of the operations to the PM shift supervisor.I look forward to utilizing and further developing my skills and experiences throughout my career.
