After being made redundant in 2009, I worked as a temp in admin positions before deciding to work as a self-employed private tutor. I offered Primary English, Maths and French, GCSE and A Level English and French, and French Conversation.

One of a team of course administrators booking local government solicitors onto training courses, using the SMART events management database. Also had specific responsibility for membership administration of the Association of Council Secretaries and Solicitors (ACSeS), and financial administration of their Annual Conference.

Responsible for recording annual leave, sickness (for 80 staff), organisation of staff training and recording of staff courses onto Access database. Organisation of training, volunteer expense and stationery budgets. Recording on Excel of volunteer addresses and processing of travel claim forms. Maintaining RHS Fruit Group membership details on Excel, administration of Fruit Group events and Minutes Secretary of RHS Fruit Group. Processing of orders and invoices on Navision purchase ordering system. Ordering of stationery. Responsible for typing up minutes of Orchid Committee and Fruit, Vegetable and Herb Committee. Arranging of travel and hotel accommodation for Curator and Garden staff. Travelled as interpreter/translator to Paris with the RHS Fruit Department.
