As a Software Test Analyst my primary objective is to improve Software Functionality by identifying defects/bugs in an application whilst validating the application is also working as per the user requirements. To do this I create test scripts and run them against test systems and databases to prove that the functionality required of that system has been delivered, the integrity of a system's development/maintenance changes and ultimately ensure that within the Test Lifecycle stages, any Integrated system is fully compliant with the agreed Acceptance Criteria. The main processes involved are Analysis of project documentation to determine test scenarios required. Data creation and manipulation (sometimes between different platforms) to create required testing environment. Prepare and document test packs and evaluate expected results from detailed analysis of the product business and system requirements, to prove the integrity of the developed, amended, or enhanced program code. Run tests using relevant method against developed, amended, or enhanced program code to provide test results. Identify any defects/bugs in the application and inform the development team of errors found in order to be fixed and retested as required. Evaluate and document results of Software testing.Support and liaise with other Stakeholders – Project Manager, Dev Ops, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts etc to deal with issues and establish productive working relations.I am also an experienced Mobile App Tester. National Savings and Investment has two Mobile App - Premium Bond Prize Checker and Transactional Mobile App I have completed the testing on both of these Apps using Agile Test Methodology.
