I am a chartered Chemical Engineer with a wide experience across a number of industries : chemicals, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and automotive in a range of roles including Industrialization and New Product Introduction, Operations, Support Functions and R&D. Much of this experience has been international and I have spent significant time living and working outside of the UK. I am experienced in managing complex projects and am a qualified as a Prince2 Practitioner.I thrive in companies with a clear vision and strong values and in challenging roles with plenty of opportunity for learning and development of myself and others. I enjoy working with people across functions and disciplines and excel at leading and inspiring teams of all sizes.I am adaptable and have a track record of success in both in fast-paced Operations, in large-scale Transformation, and in technical R&D environments. I demonstrate resilience, most recently in leading an enterprise-wide Engineering function Transformation. I see opportunities in changes both planned and unexpected and have successfully led teams through change. I aspire to strategy-focused roles and where I can influence and develop the delivery of engineering, capital project delivery, process engineering, scale-up and scientific technical expertise to R&D, process and manufacturing organisations.I have strong people management skills and I am proud in my recent roles in Johnson Matthey to have grown and developed first a team of talented, enthusiastic and technically excellent process engineers and now a larger Manufacturing and Supply Chain team in a Prototyping function. Both are currently delivering great results for our business.I am passionate about education and about encouraging young people into careers in STEM. In my role as Chair of Governors of a large multi-site grant maintained primary school I have been able to volunteer my time and skills, learn and develop my strategic understanding of organisations. I also consider it an achievement that I have promoted and actively brought about diversity in many forms in teams wherever I have worked.I am looking to build a network of like-minded professionals to enhance continued professional and personal development.
