I set up Goldsborough physiotherapy and Pilates( near Knaresborough) in 2013 as a sole practitioner. I work part time seeing patients and teaching pilates classes locally. I graduated from Nottingham University with a physiotherapy degree in 2000, moved to London to work in the NHS for 5 years reaching a senior musculoskeletal outpatient Physio. Then I worked privately for Central Health Physiotherapy from 2005-2013. I managed the in house physiotherapy and ergonomics service for the MOD and worked in the outpatient physiotherapy department in St John and St Elizabeth Hospital in St Johns Wood. I worked very closely there with the London Shoulder Unit and the Foot and ankle Unit. I have worked for the LTA (lawn tennis association) as a physio at a few tournaments including Junior Nationals.I am a licensed LTA tennis coach and played county tennis so have a good understanding of technique and body preparation and recovery following an injury and preventing injuries. I have played golf for a number of years and have a good understanding of the demands.I also enjoy and see the rewards of an ideal desk set up. I will advice you on how you could improve your working posture or come and assess you at your desk so you feel you are sitting comfortably.
