This project was in addition to my full-time job as Events Executive at Fairmont St Andrews and was co-founded alongside my wonderful colleague Laura Corbin, and is one of my proudest achievements in my career to date.In November of 2020, upon return to work from furlough we noted that lots of our colleagues had experienced a challenging time at home and were still struggling. We launched a colleague mental health support programme to connect our Fairmont family and offer a safe space for discussion regarding mental health. We have 4 main branches of the programme:Mindful Mondays- weekly newsletters emailed to all colleagues and shared on a private Facebook group covering various mindfulness and mental health topics. Mindful Mentors- mental health advocates that are knowledgeable, understanding and experienced in supporting others with mental health problemsMindful Means- a bank of suitable resources, helplines and support tools made available to anyone that is in need of extra help.Mindful Moments- creating interactive sessions within the hotel for colleagues, workshops, classes and small exercises you can do in your own time to help you live more mindfully.
