Working as a Business Analyst within the Process IT department on various projects related to vehicle leasing and finance.

My role as Business Analyst is to liaise with all areas of the business throughout the project lifecycle to ensure requirements are identified, documented, tested and delivered within the timescale and scope of the project. I also work closely with key suppliers to enable these requirements to be met. Key external suppliers include: DPR Consulting, Getronics, Experian, Newcastle Building Society and Quest. My key responsibilities across all projects have been to:• Liaise with all areas of the business to identify and gather requirements to procure all of the systems and infrastructure required • Initiate and manage the RFI and RFP stages with all potential suppliers and working with the Project Teams to identify which suppliers to select• Undertake Due Diligence on selected suppliers to ensure they could meet our specified requirements• Facilitate workshops to determine system rules and/or processes• Agree and document functional and technical specifications (TOM, TAM, Data Flow Models etc) and business requirements with the supplier and periodically reviewing to ensure these are adhered to• Work with the Program Manager and Project Managers to produce Project Initiation Documents, project strategy and plans • Report back to key stakeholders on project progress or to highlight any potential issues• For each work stream of the launch project, produce test strategy, conditions, plans and scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)• Perform Early Visibility Testing at the supplier’s site to ensure development and release quality• Execute UAT for all work streams • Oversee System Testing for Mortgage Originations, which was outsourced to Test Direct• Manage defects and subsequent fixes or suggested solutions • Perform ongoing testing of any new initiatives, such as company name change, or continual updates such as Disaster Recovery and Security Patching• Oversee and be the key liaison point for outsourced Penetration & Stress Testing

I performed various roles during my time with GMAC, helping them grow from almost a standing start to become a UK Top Ten mortgage lender. My first few years were spent within the New Business area, processing then underwriting mortgage applications before moving into team management. From 2004 onwards I was involved in various large projects undertaken by the business to comply with new regulation and transfer processes from a manual system to a fully automated online underwriting system. My role within these projects was Business Analysis and included:• Representing New Business in the initial analysis stage to ensure requirements were correctly identified and recorded• Impact assessment of new requirements and processes against current pipeline• Liaison point between the New Business, Development and System Test teams to review and iron out any issues as they occurred• Managing the UAT and final deployment phases• Preparing and performing training sessions on the new system for New Business staff• Ensuring all systems and outputs were compliant with new mortgage regulations
