Working for an online financial website, generating an annual turnover of £10m. I was responsible for the marketing of five financial websites delivering over 14k leads a month. I was brought into the business to set up their Marketing strategy, this involved devising the plan, implementing activity and setting up the processes and reporting for the business to take forward.

A new role created by Save the Children I was tasked with recruiting and developing a high performing team to target and deliver fundraising products to mass markets. Responsible for the department’s strategy we delivered an income of £43 million with an expenditure budget of £6 million. A key role within the department I negotiated and managed contractual relationships with key agencies valued in excess of £5.5 million. During my tenure, I successfully executed a cost reduction programme of £500k resulting in the department achieving its annual net contribution target. I also embarked upon an audit that identified and resolved several donation processing errors, which raised another £300k per annum. One of my greatest achievements however was leading the Niger appeal. I was a lone voice in urging the CEO to launch an appeal. The CEO agreed, the appeal was the most successful fundraising campaign of its time raising over £775k in just forty eight hours.
Direct Marketing Executive
Managing the largest budget within the team I was responsible for delivering fundraising products to new audiences across multiple channels. Managing a high profile DRTV campaign, the first TV advert for the organisation in five years and my first ever TV campaign ever. The campaign exceeded all its targets and broke the mould for charity TV campaigns.

Working at director level for a busy media agency. I advised, implemented and analysed media strategies, negotiated competitive rates with national press, TV and outdoor media owners. Whilst working at Sherrard Media I managed Tele2’s first marketing campaign in the UK. This included planning a highly creative marketing strategy using radio, a relatively new channel for the industry. I also took over the management of a national/regional press and outdoor campaign for a new Redrow development that was previously experiencing a disappointing level of enquiries. The campaign produced sufficient enquiries to sell all the properties for the development as well as generating enquiries for other sites in and around the South East region.
