Accurately and succinctly captured both the facts of two separate million-dollar university underpayments and a message for the FWO’s broader universities’ enforcement strategy. The release secured prominent, positive coverage in all the key target cities’ papers – page 1 in Wagga Wagga, and page 2 in each of Newcastle and Bathurst. The Q&As also supported the CEO to complete successful radio interviews in each of these three cities. * Further recognised for taking ownership of the Media’s team efforts to meet our annual target of translating 12 media releases in 2021-22. Proactively looked for appropriate media announcements to translate, engaged with the external translating service and then pitched the resulting release to culturally and linguistically diverse media outlets. The result was about 20 in-language articles published (plus some well-viewed social media/videos) that very likely would not have otherwise been written, and which reached harder-to-access audiences including potential vulnerable workers and their employers.* These key results were together selected for recognition by Corporate Board.Note: acting until 19/10/23.
