I improved the usability of the agency WordPress site by conducting user testing and card sort activities with 15 participants. I presented key research findings to agency stakeholders and transferred solutions from low fidelity wireframes to high fidelity mock-ups. I collaborated with WordPress developers to improve navigation hierarchy, improve user interface of two site pages, and adhere to WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines. As a Data Specialist, I surveyed 150 child care providers annually to learn of child care program vacancies and the average cost of care. I used data insights to place families in regulated child care and discover the average cost of care across 6 Wisconsin counties. These data insights aided in technical assistance, family support, and state-level advocacy efforts for the child care profession.

Delivered a Shopify site redesign that improved navigation hierarchy and usability heuristics based on user research. I crafted surveys, led user interviews, and facilitated a card sort with 10 individuals to discover opportunities for site usability, then developed a site map, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to create a solution that increases conversion. I improved high-fidelity wireframe functionality with three iterations based on user-testing and stakeholder feedback.

Served as a FoodCorps AmeriCorps leader in Postville Community School District to connect kids to healthy food. As a service member, I collaborated with two classroom teachers to deliver five core curriculum science lessons focused on hands-on planting activities. I supported English language skills of dual-language learners by creating culturally significant cooking lessons through collaborative efforts with a Spanish teacher.

Collaborated with board members to design posters, branding, and product application that is visually and conceptually parallel to the event that is planned and executed.
