About Claire Garrett

I held onto the title of student for the better part of my life. Here, I discovered the value of a growth mindset and commitment to personal development. I became a teacher to share my love for learning within the familiar walls of a school. While I love children and teaching, it was important to me to continue my exploration into having a broader understanding of how to lead people regardless of age.In my program, I study how to lead learning on a larger scale and implement organizational change through relational leadership and continuous improvement. With a people-first mentality rooted in empathy and interpersonal connection, I am motivated to spread the common good. I have a passion for pioneering change initiatives, fostering growth, and spreading enthusiasm for learning. From improving learner outcomes to driving forward departmental change, I have been working on ensuring I have the leadership capabilities necessary to promote lifelong learning and organizational effectiveness amidst cutting-edge technological advancements.
