Over the years I have gained valuable skills such as being able to effectively work as part of a team or on my own to efficiently carry out daily tasks which often came with time restraints. Protecting the rights of clients has always been of paramount importance to me in every job I have had. While working with vulnerable adults within the health care sector the importance of promoting the independence, dignity and well-being of others has become ingrained. I often reflect on past events which allows me to search for ways to improve on situations that may arise again in the future. I find this important as it allows for personal growth and a better experience for service users. I have often been responsible and accountable for making decisions in a timely manner and knowing when further help or assistance is required. I thoroughly enjoyed my time volunteering as an Event First Aider and feel it is a useful skill to have. I am passionate about first aid and enjoy refreshing my knowledge and skills while at home by looking up new research and re-reading my first aid manual.
