At the City of Greater Dandenong, Clancy has been a key player to lead and re-build the civil and transport planning, asset planning, flood management, civil development teams, post the 1994 Local Government State Government restructuring reviews.Clancy is a strong advocate for civil infrastructure planning as an essential component of land development within the statutory planning permit process. He is renowned for his advocacy efforts with the Municipal Association of Victoria, Melbourne Water, Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning in Victoria. His efforts have been rewarded through improved collaboration between State Government Departments and Councils, resulting in improved collaboration between all parties and very recent changes within the Victorian Planning Scheme legislation for the effective provision of civil infrastructure within land development projects.He has developed strong connections with the land development industry and land developers in Greater Dandenong.
