Experienced in marketing and communications, both client and agency side, on a wide range of products, brands and industries. Recently on a career break to focus on being a full time parent while living overseas in Budapest, Hungary and Greater Boston, US for 5.5 years. During this time I volunteered for local nonprofit organisations, including as the Communications Director and Board Member of an elementary school Parent Teacher Organisation. Career highlights include:- Winning an international competition from industrial lighting supplier Smart Vision Lights for delivering the best customer case study (ControlVision)- Managing suppliers at the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Breakfast Challenge, where 648 Kiwi kids broke the Guinness World Record for the largest cereal breakfast (PPR)- Achieving national media coverage for the New World/Nestle Grocery Grab competition (PPR)- Winning an inter-company award as part of the team which provided communications support for local health authorities during the 2011 Auckland measles outbreak (PPR)- Coordinating Sony’s brand activation activities during the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, NZ Fashion Week, Adidas Auckland Marathon, and various Billabong events (Sony)- Managing the delivery of BTL material for Sony’s consumer promotions during the peak Christmas retail period (Sony)I have completed a Master of Commerce degree from the University of Auckland, graduating with first class honours and majoring in Marketing. My thesis research explored the perceived value of location based services within New Zealand tourism, and was supported by a research scholarship by the Ministry of Tourism.I also have experience in web development, photography and design, video production, plus managing a range of online channels including Google Adwords, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube advertising.
