Facilities Supervisor
CurrentASX listed Incitec Pivot Ltd are a global manufacturer of commercial explosives and fertilisers, manufacturing nitrogen-based fertilisers at its Gibson Island (GI) site, declared a Major Hazard Facility, employing circa 500 staff. The site encompasses four plant areas producing 880 tonne/ day of Urea, 920 tonne/ day Sulphate of Ammonia, 600 tonne/ day AdBlue, 140 tonne per day liquid CO2, 880 tonne per day of liquid Ammonia with a net daily value of $2M profit per day.Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent and leading a team of three direct and 10 contract and sub-contract team members, I am tasked with daily maintenance and site facilities and infrastructure management to support optimal, safe production and operation of the plant. In addition, I have been proud to have:• Adopted Supervisory responsibilities whilst retaining duties of prior role due to moving landscape, ongoing change management and reduced headcount• Developed and implemented reporting platform within Excel to improve transparency of direct impacts of actions on budget, driving cost-saving focus within the team and leading to capturing a $137,000 saving within the first 12 months• Sponsored to complete Diploma of Facilities Management by the organisation, actively and immediately applying improvement projects to site• Leading a project to re-establish onsite catering/ canteen facilities from inception, through budget development, supplier negotiations, equipment and safety protocol development, pricing and ongoing management• Leading multiple recruitment process, running internal and external marketing, interviewing and managing offer and negotiation process through to onboarding, induction and ongoing mentorship to support rapid knowledge acquisition and application
