I have returned to my native Cork after 13 years of extensive career development in the UK with the NHS and Civil Service, primarily in administration, procurement and customer service. In my most recent role as a civil servant with the UK’s Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) I led the team responsible for advising key stakeholders, agricultural bodies and the general public, on seed marketing regulations and compliance protocols. In this role I utilised excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills to achieve effective administration of service delivery processes.Previous to this I was employed by the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub (EOECPH) for nine years, initially in the role of Procurement Project Officer where I provided administrative support to the senior management team. In this role I developed administrative systems to support effective project management, supported stakeholder events and meetings and managed data collection and analysis tasks. After three years I was promoted to the role of Procurement Project Manager and took responsibility for managing strategic sourcing projects to achieve delivery of sustainable cost improvements across several acute hospital trusts.I have extensive experience of developing and maintaining high-quality service delivery processes in fast paced and challenging environments, having joined APHA at a time of significant change caused by the dual challenge of Covid and the post-Brexit business landscape. For the duration of my employment with the EOECPH I developed productive relationships with clinicians and administrators across the East of England region and I demonstrated flexibility in quickly gaining knowledge of various medical product categories. Prior to moving to the UK I worked in various roles with Cork retail and contact centre companies in the areas of customer service, team leadership, accounts administration and office management.I am now seeking an exciting opportunity to implement my existing business experience and enhance my skills in a part time role with a vibrant, progressive organisation.
