Responsible for all metallic machined components for the F9/FH vehicle programs. I developed deep expertise in metallic machining, including GD&T, manufacturing methods, and optimization of machining techniques for production. I often led new product introduction efforts and was a frequent onsite presence at suppliers to ensure quality and delivery of products. Though under the supply chain department, I worked cross functionally as an engineer to support our internal manufacturing teams by being the manufacturing point of contact for any parts not produced in-house.

In this role I owned the development of the nose cone structure for the Starship vehicle. I was responsible for taking design concepts from the responsible engineering team, determining manufacturing techniques, and establishing a first of its kind stamping facility at SpaceX to produce parts at rate. This included the design and build of check fixtures, welding fixtures, and sheet metal forming using NX to CAD and in house machine shops and technician teams to support builds. I was responsible for the acquisition of a production facility to bring a sheet metal forming process to life, and led a technician team to build all of the needed fixtures, support structures, and trial equipment.

As the Supply Chain Engineer for composites, I owned all composite structures for the Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, and Dragon programs that were manufactured outside of SpaceX. I leveraged my past experiences in composites to become a knowledge owner of layup techniques, fiber and matrix selection, and autoclave/cure cycles. I was the first person onsite at suppliers to work with them to develop solutions and improvements to their composite manufacturing work, often supporting multiple projects at once across different programs.

Development of waterproofing method for ceramic matrix composite materials for radio frequency transparent windows. Responsible for research into current technology and in-house experimentation to develop chemical processes to achieve the project goal. Successfully delivered three fully waterproofed flight parts as well as aided in scale up efforts to move development parts into production. These efforts consisted of the creation of engineering master plans, the authoring of specifications, and participation in critical and preliminary design reviews.

Oversaw creation of composite materials and actively participated in the testing and qualification of created parts. Participated in design criteria reviews and scheduling of part development to ensure timely delivery. Worked alongside avionics engineers to understand material constraints and consulted with vehicle engineers to ensure strength and vehicle consideration requirements were met.
